Shirley Jean Stout

Shirley J. Stout passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at New Perspective Harbor Care in Silvis, IL. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2:00 at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline Il. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to e made to Compasseus Hospice, 4101 John Deere Rd. Ste 1, Moline, IL 61265.

Shirley Jean Beardslee was born in Greenville on August 30, 1934 to Lewis Dale and Catherine Lillian Beardslee. She attended Ferris State College after graduating high school. She married Richard Durward Stout, also of Greenville, on April 21, 1956. Richard died on February 17, 2014.

Shirley enjoyed going to Michigan State football games with her husband and they held season tickets for over 30 years. They enjoyed attending their grandchildrens's sporting events. The also enjoyed their condo in North Muskegon spending time on their boat.

Survivors include daughters Debra Stout of Greenville, Pam (Dave) King of East Moline, IL, Sheila (John) Burden of Tucson, AZ, Brother-in-law James (Nan Anderson) Stout of Chicago IL and their children Dee Stout, Robert (Marcy) Stout and Julie (Dan) Starnes, sister-in-law Joan (John) Ingersoll of Sahuanita, AZ. and their son Michael Ingersoll.

Grandchildren Nicholas King, Katie (Howard) Davis, Allison (Steve) Henry, Jacob Burden and Spencer Burden. Great grandchildren Braedon King, Howard Davis III, Kingslee Davis and Cameron Henry.

Many Hansen aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as cousins Marcia Hammontree and Denny(Gail) Beardslee.

Special thanks to her friend Keith Yuskis.

A memorial celebration will be held in Michigan at a later date.
